On Thursday, Big Ted and I were delighted to be warmly welcomed by the Companions of the Chapter of Amity No. 5753 at Rochford. We were visiting to express our sincere thanks for a generous £500 donation to the TLC Essex Appeal, and to present their Most Excellent Zerubbabel with a TLC Essex Patron Certificate.
The evening proved to be more than just a charitable celebration—it was also a superb Royal Arch meeting, filled with dedication, tradition, and genuine Masonic spirit.
The Companions conducted a seamless Installation Ceremony, with E.Comp Rob Alabaster installing his successor, E.Comp Paul Reed, as MEZ with dignity and skill. E.Comp Joe Doherty was installed as Haggai and Comp David Randall took his place as Joshua, completing a fine new team of Principals.
What stood out was the care and attention the Chapter placed on the quality of their ritual work. Every aspect of the ceremony was delivered with pride and precision, reflecting the strength of their commitment—not only to Freemasonry but also to charitable giving.
It was a true pleasure to witness such an uplifting evening, made all the more special by the Chapter’s support for TLC Essex.
Thank you, Companions of the Chapter of Amity, for your generous contribution and for your dedication to doing things properly. Your donation will help bring smiles and comfort to children across Essex in their time of need.
