On 13th March, I had the pleasure of visiting Benfleet Lodge No. 3798 at Saxon Hall to receive a further donation in support of the TLC Essex Appeal—a gesture that marked a fantastic milestone for the Lodge.

This latest contribution brought Benfleet Lodge’s total donations over the past year to £1,000, qualifying them as Bronze Patrons of the Appeal. It was a true pleasure to present the Brethren with their Bronze Patron Certificate in recognition of their generosity and ongoing commitment to supporting children in need across Essex.

Their donation will help us continue to supply TLC teddy bears to A&E departments throughout the county, offering comfort and reassurance to children facing distressing and often frightening situations in hospital.

It’s always inspiring to see Lodges like Benfleet not only embracing Freemasonry’s values of charity and compassion but putting them into action in such a meaningful way.
