Thorpe Bay Lodge recently celebrated a very special milestone with their Centenary meeting, marking 100 years of Freemasonry within the lodge. The evening proved to be a memorable occasion not only for the lodge and its members, but also for TLC Essex.
During the meeting, the brethren of Thorpe Bay Lodge presented W.Bro John Bond, on behalf of TLC Essex, with a generous £500 donation to the TLC Teddies Appeal. This contribution qualifies the lodge as Patrons of the Appeal, helping to ensure that TLC Teddies continue to reach children across hospitals in Essex when they need comfort and reassurance the most.
Following the presentation, John had the great pleasure of presenting the lodge with their TLC Essex Patron Certificatein recognition of their support.
The generosity of the evening did not stop there. The lodge also presented the RW Provincial Grand Master, RW.Bro Paul Tarrant, with a cheque for £1,000 in support of his chosen charity.
In a wonderful and generous gesture, the Provincial Grand Master then handed the cheque straight to John to support the TLC Essex Appeal, further increasing the funds available to provide teddy bears for children in hospital.
Together, these donations will help ensure that doctors and nurses across Essex hospitals continue to have TLC Teddies available to comfort young patients during difficult or distressing moments.
Our sincere thanks go to the brethren of Thorpe Bay Lodge for their kindness and generosity.
Thank you, brethren! 👏👏
