Sometimes the most unexpected moments remind us just how generous and supportive the Masonic community can be.
W.Bro Ian Watson, Treasurer of TLC Essex, was recently attending a social visit to the Chapter of Stedfast Unity in Upminster when the evening took a very welcome turn for the TLC Teddies Appeal.
During the visit, fellow visitor W.Bro Peter Banks presented Ian with a cheque for £1,000 on behalf of Seven Kings Lodge No. 2749. This generous donation was made in addition to a previous £500 contribution already given by the lodge in support of TLC Essex.
Thanks to their fantastic support, Seven Kings Lodge have now achieved Bronze Patron status within the TLC Essex Patronage Scheme — a wonderful milestone that reflects their commitment to helping ensure that TLC Teddies continue to reach children in hospitals across Essex.
But the generosity did not stop there.
Ian was also presented with a cheque for £500 from W.Bro John Caten and W.Bro Albert Summers of Little Heath Lodge No. 5935. Knowing this presentation might take place, Ian had come prepared and was delighted to present the brethren with their TLC Essex Patron Certificate on behalf of the appeal.
Donations like these make a real and lasting difference. Each contribution helps ensure that doctors and nurses across Essex hospitals always have a TLC Teddy available to comfort a child in distress or pain.
Our sincere thanks go to Peter, John, Albert, and the brethren of Seven Kings Lodge and Little Heath Lodge for their wonderful generosity and continued support of TLC Essex.
