Spreading the TLC Message Across Our Masonic Centres

TLC Essex is incredibly fortunate to have passionate ambassadors who help promote the appeal and raise awareness of the important work we do supporting children in hospitals across the county. One such ambassador is W.Bro Dickie Coyle, who is a member of several lodges and Masonic units meeting at both Chingford and Harlow Masonic Halls.
Dickie has been a tireless supporter of the TLC Teddies Appeal and has worked hard to help ensure that brethren and visitors at our Masonic centres understand the difference these small bears make to children facing difficult moments in hospital.
At Harlow Masonic Hall, Hall Manager W.Bro Rob Marshall kindly allowed Dickie to install a TLC display cabinet in the dining room, giving the appeal a visible presence within the centre. The cabinet has already helped raise awareness and spark conversations about TLC, as seen in a photo taken with members of Old Church Lodge during a visit in June 2024.
Inspired by the success of the display at Harlow, Dickie was keen to create a similar presence at Chingford Masonic Hall. With the support and permission of Hall Manager W.Bro Tony Curtis, the idea quickly gained momentum.
When W.Bro Tony Austin, well known for the exceptional quality of his joinery, heard about the project, he generously offered to build a display cabinet himself. The result is something rather special and a fantastic showcase for TLC Essex.
Our sincere thanks go to Tony for his craftsmanship and generosity.
Meanwhile, W.Bro Ronnie Rowell, TLC Centre Representative, is currently seeking permission to install a display cabinet at Loughton Masonic Hall, with Tony already offering his help should approval be granted.
