On a warm and welcoming evening in Maldon, Big Ted and I had the pleasure of visiting the Lodge of St Peter No. 1024to personally present a Bronze Patron Certificate in recognition of their recent and generous £1,000 donation to the TLC Essex Appeal.
Our host for the evening was W.Bro Ian Barbrook, the Lodge Secretary and TLC Centre Representative for Maldon Masonic Hall. Ian is no stranger to supporting the Appeal—he is also the owner of Blackwater Sign & Print, where every TLC certificate across Essex is professionally printed. His ongoing dedication, both personally and professionally, is a shining example of Freemasonry in action.
The certificate was proudly presented to the Worshipful Master, W.Bro Mark Ewers, in front of a warm and attentive Lodge. It’s been a little while since I last visited Maldon, and it was a real pleasure to return to such a friendly and engaging gathering of Brethren.
The generosity shown by the Lodge of St Peter will directly help to provide more TLC bears to hospitals across the county—bringing comfort and reassurance to children during some of their most distressing moments.
Thank you once again to W.Bro Ian, W.Bro Mark, and all the Brethren for their support, hospitality, and commitment to the TLC Essex Appeal. It truly was an evening of kindness, generosity, and good company—everything we value in Freemasonry.
