The Essex Masonic Clay Shooting Association (EMCSA) once again proved their unwavering support for the TLC Essex Appeal at their annual Captain’s Day shoot, held on Sunday 16th June at Essex Shooting Ground, Fyfield.
The event, which followed the Association’s traditional handicapped format, brought together Masonic marksmen from across the Province for a day of friendly competition and charitable giving. As ever, the atmosphere was one of camaraderie, good humour, and community spirit.
As Chairman of TLC Essex, I was delighted to attend and even more delighted to receive a generous £165 donation raised through the day’s raffle—yet another demonstration of the EMCSA’s ongoing commitment to supporting our appeal. Every penny raised will go towards providing comforting TLC bears to children in distress across Essex’s hospitals, helping to turn difficult moments into something just a little more bearable.
Our sincere thanks go to all the Brethren and guests who took part and contributed to the raffle, and to the EMCSA committee for their continued friendship and support of TLC Essex.
The day also included recognition for shooting skill, and hearty congratulations go to W.Bro Clive Fry who emerged as the winner of this year’s Captain’s Day shoot—an excellent achievement!
It’s inspiring to see how the EMCSA combines sport, fellowship, and fundraising so effectively, and we’re incredibly grateful for their ongoing generosity.
Thank you all for helping us keep the TLC Essex Appeal moving forward—one shot, and one teddy, at a time.
