Recently, Big Ted and I had the pleasure of visiting Lodge of Harmony with Alexandra Maritime No. 8476, which meets in Rochford, to personally thank the brethren for their generous support of the TLC Essex Teddies Appeal.

During 2025 the lodge made donations totalling £1,000, a fantastic contribution that helps ensure TLC Teddies continue to reach children across hospitals in Essex when they need comfort the most. In recognition of this support, it was my pleasure to present the lodge with a TLC Essex Bronze Patron Certificate on behalf of the appeal.

The evening was also made even more special as I had the opportunity to witness Bro Jack Wild being initiated into the lodge in a very well conducted and enjoyable ceremony. It is always encouraging to see new members joining our lodges and beginning their own Masonic journey.

Although Lodge of Harmony with Alexandra Maritime may not be one of the largest lodges in the Province, they certainly demonstrated that they have a very big heart when it comes to supporting charitable causes.

In fact, the generosity of the brethren continued during the evening when they announced a further £250 donation to TLC Essex.

Every contribution helps ensure that doctors and nurses across Essex hospitals always have TLC Teddies available to comfort children during what can often be frightening or distressing moments.

Our sincere thanks go to the brethren of Lodge of Harmony with Alexandra Maritime for their kindness, generosity, and continued support of TLC Essex.
